Description

Veteran's Administration Medical Center 7305 North Military Trail West Palm Beach, FL 33410 FMIS Dialysis Management Software-Medicine-Dialysis Unit 07/18/2011 NOTICE OF INTENT: The VA Medical Center, West Palm Beach, FL intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Fresenius Medical Care, 920 Winter Street, Waltham, MA 02451, to procure FMIS Dialysis Management Software Licenses for use with the Fresenius 2008T Dialysis Units. This is an additional component to existing Fresenius Dialysis equipment being used in the Dialysis Unit. Fresenius Medical Care has been found to be the only source available to provide this software to the West Palm Beach Medical Center. No other vendor was able to provide components that are compatible with the existing Fresenius dialysis equipment currently in use in the Dialysis Unit. This is a notice of intent for Sole Source procurement under Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). The associated NAICS Code is 621492. This is a Notice of Intent and is not a request for competitive proposals. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than noon, July 22, 2011 and all responses will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
