Description

VA25611RQ0612 Fuel Questions Question #1. Requested the 75,000 gallons of biodiesel to be split between several buildings. Can you match the building numbers with the tanks and provide the tank sizes for each? Answer #1. Location Capacity in Gallons? / underground or above ground? BLDG 100: TWO 12,000 TANK. YOU WILL NEED A BOBTAIL TO SERVICE THEM. BLDG 105: FOUR 35,000 GAL TANKS. YOU CAN USED A TANKER TRUCK TO SERVICE THEM. BLDG 109: ONE 2000 GAL TANKS. YOU CAN USED A TANKER TRUCK TO SERVICE THEM. BLDG 114: ONE 2,000 GAL TANKS. YOU CAN USED A TANKER TRUCK TO SERVICE THEM. BLDG 102: ONE 6000 GAL TANKS. YOU CAN USED A TANKER TRUCK TO SERVICE THEM. Question #2. Is the fuel to be used for taxable purposes? Examples: Buses, trucks, anything designed to be street legal/highway use? In this case undyed biodiesel is required. Or is the fuel to be used for non-taxable purposes such as a boiler, generator, or off-road equipment such as a bulldozer? In this case it would be dyed biodiesel. Answer #2. Fuel is used for Boiler and Generators. Question #3. B20 has a shorter shelf life than conventional diesel. Consider it a 20% food product. We would hate to see you guys buy the product and see it stored for long-term use (not good). It could be disasterous for you and we are here to help. Answer #3. VAMC is aware. End of Questions
