- CONTINUATION PAGE VA244-11-RP-0089 Crawford County CBOC Amendment 3 Nurse Call: The nurse call system shall be comprised of emergency pull cords, dome lights, audible alarms, and a single annunciator that is located at the nurse station (section 3.17). Each exam, treatment, or restroom shall have an emergency pull cord inside each room, and an emergency dome light/audible alarm located above the door on the corridor side of each room. When the emergency pull cord is activated it shall ring and illuminate at the dome light/audible outside the room (above door) and also at the annunciator located at the nurse station. Annunciator at the nurse station shall be capable of identifying room where emergency call originated and also resetting of emergency call. All equipment face plates shall be stainless steel. All necessary equipment required to meet the intent of these specifications, whether or not enumerated within these specifications, shall be supplied and installed to provide a complete and operating nurse call system. Expansion Capability: The Nurse Call equipment interfaces and cables shall be able to increase number of enunciation points in the future by a minimum of 50 percent (%) above those indicated without adding any internal or external components or main trunk cable conductors. The products specified shall be new, FCC and UL Listed, labeled and produced by OEM manufacturer of record. An OEM of record shall be defined as a company whose main occupation is the manufacture for sale of the items of equipment supplied and which: 1. Maintains a stock of replacement parts for the item submitted, 2. Maintains engineering drawings, specifications, and operating manuals for the items submitted, and 3. Has published and distributed descriptive literature and equipment specifications on the items of equipment submitted. Electrical Facilities: The Lessor shall provide all the necessary electrical facilities for the project. It is expected that electrical systems will meet their primary objective of providing appropriate and reliable interior and exterior electrical, lighting, and auxiliary systems and services necessary to the safety and comfort to the veterans, employees, and visitors. In addition, the systems shall be safe, easily accessible for repairs and maintenance, and energy-efficient. Prepare and submit calculations as required by the type of design work performed. Calculations shall justify lighting designs; size of each branch circuit and feeder conductor, overcurrent protective device, equipment bus, generator, transformer, etc., at all voltage levels; setting of each overcurrent protective device with adjustable characteristic; required PPE to meet arc flash energy levels; etc. The Lessor shall submit the following calculations to VA: fault current calculations, protective device coordination study, arc flash calculations, load calculations, voltage drop calculations, and lighting calculations. Perform all lighting calculations based on illumination criteria per the IESNA Lighting Handbook, latest edition. Calculations shall include room name, room number, fixture type chosen for the room, number and type of lamps to be used in the room, required illumination level, calculated illumination level, and all assumptions used.Calculations for most interior spaces may be performed using the zonal cavity method. Perform and submit point-by-point calculations for areas of greater architectural or luminous sophistication. Calculations for exterior spaces, including parking structures, shall be point by point. Calculations shall demonstrate compliance with energy requirements per Paragraph 6.0 Mandatory Provisions for Energy Conservation.
