Description

VA-786-11-RP-0328 (previously VA-786-11-RP-0326, which is hereby cancelled.) The purpose of this contract is to supply blank marble upright headstones/flat granite markers for Eagle Point National Cemetery on a ONE-TIME BASIS. The National Cemetery Administration is soliciting offers under solicitation number VA786-11-RP-0326 for approximately 10 (J1) Blank Flat Granite Headstones, 150 (U1) Blank Upright Marble Markers and 150 (L1) Blank Flat Granite Markers to the Government at Eagle Point National Cemetery, 2763 Riley Road, Eagle Point, OR 97524. The NAICS Code is 327991 and size standard of 500 Employees is applicable. Marble shall be white, sound and compact, free from cracks, spalls, chips, holes, calcite lines more than two inches in length, open seams, pits, or other defects that would impair its strength, durability or appearance. Granite shall conform to the definition of Granite as defined by ASTM C119. Granite is to be standard grade, fine-grained material as classified by the National Building Granite Quarries Association. Granite shall be free from cracks, seams or starts, chips, pits or over defects that would impair its strength, durability or readability of the inscription. Workmanship shall be in accordance with industry standards and practices. Awardee will deliver the blanks within 20 calendar days from the date the order is issued. Vendors having previous approval of a full size blank headstone/marker within the last 12 months may submit a copy of that approval in lieu of submitting another full size sample for each type. As an alternative, a 6" x 6" sample of each type of stone to be used and finished per may be submitted, more details to be available in the solicitation. The sample and testing results should be submitted by the closing date of the solicitation. Award will be made on a lowest priced technically acceptable basis using the following evaluation criteria for this award listed in descending order: 1) Price, 2) Technical, 3) Past performance. Electronic solicitations will be available for download from http://www.FedBizOpps.gov on or around July 18, 2011 and responses to the solicitation are due by 2:00 p.m. two weeks from solicitation posting date. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments to the solicitation which are available at Fed Biz Ops.
