- Description
- NASA/ARC has a requirement for software support by merging revisions made by theNASA development team on the Surface Management System (SMS), a NASA version of FAAsSurface Decision Support System (SDSS), back into SDSS releases. NASA also has arequirement for software support for maintenance of the Surface Operations Data Analysisand Adaptation SODAA) tool. Also, this contract is intended to receive general softwareassistance from the Contractor in developing new SMS features by NASA researchers andsoftware team.The Contractor will be responsible to modify or add new function to theexisting code according to the requirements developed by NASA researchers and developmentteam.NASA/ARC intends to acquire the services from Mosaic ATM, Inc.; 801 SYCOLIN RD STE 212;LEESBURG, VA 20175-5084, pursuant to FAR 13.501 for a five-year period. The required services shall include the following: 1. The Contractor shall produce versions of SDSS that include the latest SDSScapabilities and the common SDSS/SMS improvements developed by NASA Ames. 2. The Contractor shall assist the NASA Ames development team as they integrate these newversions into the NASA Ames SMS development environment. 3. The Contractor shall provide software support to the NASA Ames development team inimplementing new surface decision support functions into SMS. 4. The Contractor shall provide support to prepare technology transfers of NASA tools tothe FAA. 5. The Contractor shall maintain the SODAA tool and provide necessary support to NASAusers. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to Uyen Tu at Uyen.K.Tu@nasa.gov no later than 12:00 p.m. local time on7/25/2011. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose ofdetermining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Adetermination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
