- Project No: ACJP091046 This project is being solicited under the Air Force Straddle Bid Authority. Funds are not currently available for this project, and no award will be made until funds become available. The Government reserves the right to cancel the solicitation, either before or after the proposal closing date with no obligation to the offeror. FAR clause 52.232-18, Availability of Funds will be incorporated into the solicitation. The Base Contracting Division, Los Angeles AFB, CA intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for acquisition of maintaining existing pavement and roadways at Los Angeles AFB, El Segundo. The Government is soliciting for the award of a Firm Fixed Price contract. This proposed contract is being considered as a set-aside under a small business set-aside program. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code proposed for the requirement is 237310. The size standard for NAICS 237310 is $33.5M. The Government is interested in all small businesses that are interested in performing this requirement. This project consists of maintaing existing pavement and roadways at Los Angeles AFB, El Segundo. This project is a Design/Build Project. The contractor will slurry seal and re-stripe all base pavement as well as provide and install two pedestrian crosswalk warning systems. The period of performance for this project is estimated to be one hundred fifty (150) calendar days which include 60 calendar days for design and 90 calendar days for construction and close-out phases. The magnitued of this project is estimated between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The Government anticipates the issuance of the Request for Proposal in 01 Aug 2011 and anticipates a closing in 31 August 2011. The target award date is 30 September 2011. Interest parties should register online and subscribe to received procurement announcements related to this solicitation by entering the website at http://www.fbo.gov. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation package. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Register via the CCR website at http://ccr.gov. Contractor must also submit their representations and certifications at the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) website at https://orca.bpn.gov. There will be paper copies of this solicitation available. The RFP will be released using the Electronic Posting System (EPS) available at http://www.fbo.gov. All solicitation information may be obtained through the above referenced website. The Government will not reimburse any interested parties for monies spent to provide a response to the subsequent solicitation notice. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation at any time.
