- This is an advance notice announcing the intent of the Seattle District US Army Corps of Engineers to award a sole-source firm fixed price contract with one (1) base year and four (4) option years to the Colville Federated Tribes for the supply, storage, maintenance, and supervision of cultural resource collections from the Chief Joseph Dam Project comprising cultural materials and their associated documentation. The collections are personal property under the ownership of the Government. This action is pursuant to paragraph IIIa of the Pool Raising Memorandum of Agreement dated 15 December 1980 between the Colville Confederated Tribes (CCT) and the Corps of Engineers. The paragraph stipulates the placement of all collections from the cultural resource investigations sponsored by the Corps of Engineers at the Chief Joseph Dam project into the Colville Confederated Tribe's repository near Nespelem, Washington. The action is in conformance with the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended and the Reservoir Salvage Act of 1960, as amended. Action is also pursuant to ER/EP 1130-2-540, Environmental Stewardship Operations and Maintenance Policies (Guidance and Procedures). Action is also IAW Supplement 2 to Design Memorandum 38, Cultural Resources Curation Plan; Supplement 3 to Design Memorandum 38, Operations and Maintenance Cultural Resources Management Plan; and 2005 Seven Year Action Plan, Chief Joseph Dam and Rufus Woods Lake Cultural Resource Management. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 921150 with no applicable size standard. See numbered note 22.
