- Notice of intent to award sole source procurement under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR 13) and Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). This notice is for information only; a solicitation will not be issued. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541519, Other Computer Related Services, with a size standard of $25M average annual receipts. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, the Government intends to negotiate a sole source contract to renew a nonexclusive license for a risk adjustment software program. The Government believes Verisk Health, Inc. is the only source that will satisfy the agency requirements. The Government is contracting for this service from which Verisk Health, Inc. is the only known source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes that it can provide the requirement above may give written notification to the Contracting Office. All inquiries and concerns must be addressed in writing to Department of Veterans Affairs VAMC Bedford ATTN: Sandra Cantwell (MS 90C) 200 Springs Road Bedford, MA 01730 or sent by email to sandra.cantwell@va.gov. Responses to this notice must be submitted by the date/time listed on the notice. Interested sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government anticipates an award date on or before 20 Jul 2011. Response to this synopsis is not required.
