Description
Justification and Approval Solicitation This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the procedures at FAR 13. Synopsis exception FAR 5.202(a)(13) applies and Solicitation Number FA5685-11-R-0003 is hereby issued as an attachment hereto. This is a Brand Name Sole Source requirement basis for brand name only Motorola and their authorized distributors. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, it has been determined that only brand name Motorola and their distributors can meet the Governments' requirements. This is a sole source requirement for product that must meet the exact specifications of existing equipment. DUE TO ARTICLE VI OF SUPPLEMENTARY AGREEMENT 3 TO THE DEFENSE AND ECONOMIC COOPERATION AGREEMENT (1980) BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT AND THE GOVERNMENT OF TURKEY, THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE INTENDS TO AWARD THIS UPCOMING REQUIREMENT (ONCE FUNDED) TO A BUSINESS CONCERN WITHIN THE COUNTRY OF TURKEY. THEREFORE, QUOTES FROM BUSINESS CONCERNS OUTSIDE OF TURKEY WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Quantity (3) - Radio Dispatch System, Motorola P/N MCC7500, includes necessary hardware and installation services. Each console has a personal computer with Windows Operating System, 19" LCD Display I/O Module (for speakers, mike, and I/O control), desktop speakers, gooseneck microphones with AES encryption capabilities. Includes LAN Switching equipment, total of 24 Analog phone lines to the system and each positions will have access to the total of 24 phone lines, console users will be able to make/receive phone calls and will be able to patch phone calls to the radio resources. Proposals are due by 2:00P.M. Local Time on 20 July 2011. In addition to providing the information required above, Turkish Vendors shall provide the following documents, translated and certified in English: (1) Tax Payer License, (2) Trade Chamber Registration, (3) Signature Circular, (4) Company Registration (if applicable), (5) Certified/Authorized Retail/Reseller documentation from manufacturer and or importer of requested supply(s), and (6) Photocopies of written warranty documents (if applicable).
