Description
The U.S. Corps of Engineers Afghanistan Engineer District-North, Kabul, Afghanistan has a need to procure on a sole source basis an online course of instruction in Electrical Inspection and Quality Assurance to prepare U.S. Corps of Engineers Afghanistan Engineering District - North personnel to take the electrical inspection and quality assurance certification exam. The requirement is to combine the electrical inspection and quality assurance into one training program. The value of the purchase order is $186,350. The offeror providing the online course of instruction is Integrity Company LLC, 1013 Atlanta Street, Florence, AL 35630-3608. The NAICS for this requirement is 611691 - Exam Preparation Services. The course includes five (5) on-line classes, each of which require about three (3) hours of contact time (contact time does not have to continuous). Successful completion of the entire course, including studying for the exam, will require 20-30 hours of dedicated effort. The anticipated award of this requirement is 27 July 2011. This Notice is not a request for bid/quote/proposal and no contract will be awarded on a basis of offers received in response to this notice, but responses will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the Government. Any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the contracting officer, Daisy DuBose. Responses shall show clear and convincing evidence to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed and that competition would be advantageous to the government. Responses are due by 26 July 2011 at 3:00 p.m. (local Kabul time). All responses shall be sent to Mr. Daniel Portillo at daniel.n.portillo@usace.army.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice is posted in accordance with FAR Parts 5.201 and 6.302-1
