- The Federal Aviation Administration Central Service Area hereby announces its intention to solicit a Request for Offers. This is a Small Business Set-Aside. The successful offeror shall furnish all necessary labor and materials in the performance of Grounds Maintenance at the Federal Aviation Administration, Albuquerque Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC), Albuquerque, NM. The solicitation will request pricing for the base period and four (4) 1-year option periods. Services to be performed include: mowing, edging, power raking, aeration, seeding, fertilizing, herbicide, snow removal, and recurring general groundskeeping requirements which may include maintaining plant beds, shrubs, trees, weed control, insect control, pest control, and maintenance of the irrigation system Requests for the solicitation package must include a listing of at least 3 past or current contracts/projects your firm performed for groundskeeping efforts. Contracts/projects must be either in process or within the last 5 years. Scope is described above. Offerors shall identify the contracting agency, (FAA, Other Federal, State, local governments, and private). You must provide the contract number or project identifier, which includes a point of contact and phone number. NOTE: Contractors must have active registration in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before award can be made. Contractors can register at www.ccr.gov. Additional information on CCR is available at (866) 606-8220. FAILURE TO SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION WILL DEEM THE REQUEST FOR SOLICITATION AS NON-RESPONSIVE. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this project is 561730. The small business size standard is $7 Million. Please submit your request for the solicitation to Jeri Bird, Contracting Officer, via fax or e-mail not later than 7/22/11 at 3:00 PM Central Time to jeri.bird@faa.gov or 817-222-5958. Delivery Period: 365 Calendar Days A mandatory site visit will be conducted and is tentatively set for 8/10/11 at 9:00 AM. Final site visit details will be contained in the solicitation. Solicitation will be tentatively issued the week of 7/25/11. Anticipated start date is 1 October 2011. "This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
