- Description
- This project consists of road milling, processing the generated crushed material, watering, compacting and final shaping of the road. The project magnitude is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000. The project is located on the Dixie and Fishlake National Forests and includes Forest Roads (FR) 262, 176, 114, and 100. A Forest Visitor/Travel Map may be helpful to determine the proximity of the project from a larger prospective. A Forest Visitor/Travel Map may be acquired from the Fishlake National Forest. FR 262 and FR 176 can be accessed by traveling on South Main Street, Loa, UT for approximately 19.5 miles to the Dixie National Forest Boundary. Continue South on FR 154 for 7 miles until intersection with FR 162. Proceed East on FR 162 for 5.1 miles to intersection with FR 262 to the left. FR 262 is the first project road. FR 176 is in the same vicinity. FR 114 can be accessed by travelling west on Interstate 70 from Richfield, UT for approximately 35 miles. Take exit 7 and follow Clear Creek Canyon Road to the east for 1.7 miles to FR 114 on the right. FR 100 can be accessed by travelling east on 200 South Street in Fillmore, UT for roughly ½ mile to the Fishlake National Forest Boundary. At the forest boundary, 200 South Street turns into FR 100, Chalk Creek Canyon Road. The start date for this project is anticipated to be September 1, 2011 with a period of performance of sixty (60) calendar days. No formal site visit will be held. All interested vendors are encouraged to visit the project areas. This acquisition is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible vendors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database and have proper bonding capability before being eligible to accept an award. The solicitation for this project will be available for download on or after July 20, 2011. IT IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OFFEROR TO CONTINUALLY VIEW THE WEBSITE FOR ANY AMENDMENTS ISSUED TO THE SOLICITATION.
