- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract in accordance to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), only one responsible source. The Department of veterans Affairs has the following requirements and intents to sole source this to Austin Lee. Title of Project: Spatio Temporal Spread of Newer Antipsychotics for Bipolar Disorder and PTSD; and the Center for Health Quality, Outcomes and Economic Research (CHQOER) Colorectal Cancer Screening Study. Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision and all other resources required to deliver the requirements stated herein, except as may otherwise be specified in this statement of work. This includes data base configuration using VA secondary data bases and statistical analysis for medication based data using the DSS and other VA data bases, report preparation describing the results and interpretation of the data. Background: The contractor shall provide solutions to problems involving the configuration of large complex secondary claims data in the VA. The contractor shall give solutions to the interpretation of complex statistical analysis to solve problems related to spatio-temporal relationships in the spread of newer anti-psychotics of bipolar disorder and PTSD. In addition, the contractor shall provide approaches for understanding the determinants of screening for colorectal cancer in veterans with mental disorders. There is a strong need to propose the best solutions possible for this work. Performance Period: Under a firm-fixed-price task order, the performance period is for 12 months from 7/15/2011-7/14/2012 with one (1), one (1) year option. Type of Contract: This is a firm-fixed-price agreement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available.
