Description

SUBJECT - International Business Machines (IBM) Infosphere DataStage Software Support This award notice is for Informational Purposes Only. On June 30, 2011, the Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Acquisition and Logistics, Contracting Office, Technology Acquisition Center (TAC), located at 260 Industrial Way West, Eatontown, NJ 07724 awarded an order off of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP) IV Government Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) via an exception to fair opportunity for International Business Machine (IBM) Infosphere DataStage software license support. The firm fixed price (FFP) order, NNG07DA20B VA118-11-F-0312, was competitively awarded to immixTechnology, Inc., 8444 Westpark Drive, Suite 200, McLean, Virginia 22102-5112, in the amount of $464,025.16 for the aforementioned brand name software license support. This support is required to maintain the software installed on the Veterans Service Network (VETSNET) and the Capital Asset Management System (CAMS). The place of performance is the contractor's facility. The period of performance is July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012, plus two (2) twelve (12) month options, if exercised. The statutory authority permitting an exception to fair opportunity is Section 41 U.S.C. 253j(b) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 16.505(b)(2)(i)(B), entitled "Only one awardee is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services ordered are unique or highly specialized." The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) for this effort is 541519.
