- Description
- Draft SOW The Federal Railroad Administration is releasing the attached draft Statement of Work (SOW) as part of a Request for Information (RFI) to (1) solicit comments and improve the quality of the anticipated Request for Proposal to conduct a study on Rail Trespassing Fatalities Demographic Profiles and (2) gather price/cost information. The FRA is interested in obtaining information from industry concerning the capabilities, estimated cost, and estimated timeframe to complete the study. The objective of this nationwide study is to develop summaries and generic demographic profiles describing the decedents in fatal rail trespass incidents. This information should ultimately provide information regarding the at-risk audience to be targeted. The overall goal of this study is to prevent trespassing on rail rights-of-way, thus reducing the number of deaths and injuries among trespassers In response to this RFI, the vendors are asked to provide the following information: •I. Company Information (Name/Primary Point of Contact/Phone Number/E-mail Address/Business Size) •II. Capabilities statement describing corporate experience and or past performance on similar studies. •III. Rough order magnitude (ROM) pricing to complete the study. Please include any assumptions. •IV. Would you suggest any changes to the SOW? What additional areas should the FRA consider? Early industry involvement through comments, questions and recommendations, is sought for refining the Draft SOW and solidifying the Government Cost Estimate. Comments, questions and recommendations shall be submitted by e-mail to Sabrina.phillips@dot.gov, and should be received by 4:00 PM EST July 15, 2011. This RFI is for market research purposes only and is not a part of a down selection process. This RFI is issued solely to obtain information and for planning purposed and does not constitute a RFP. Any information submitted will not be returned, and no payment will be made by the government for such information. FAR Reference 52.215-4 Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes. (OCT 1997)
