- Statement of Work/TEC ACCESS TO THOMSON REUTERS MARKET SCAN COMMERCIAL CLAIMS DATABASE 732-1-9297-08 THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; A SEPARATE WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services intends to award using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, a firm fixed priced purchase order for "Access to Thomson Reuters Market Scan Commercial Claims Database" to include the following data for 2010 for up to 8 users: 1) Total payments (both claims payments and allowed charges) by provider and good type, 2) Copayments, coinsurance and deductibles, 3) Utilization data, 4) Age, gender, and geographic (slate) identifiers and 5) Claim payer plan type and Continued Access to Market Scan Commercial Claims Database for 1998 to 2009. All business proposals shall be submitted in whole dollars only, rounded to the nearest dollar." The period of performance is award through one year. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 511120. The Statement of Work and Deliverables are attached. The Request for Quote (RFQ) is being set aside for small business concerns. Responses must be sent electronically in MS Word format to lucille.lee@cms.hhs.gov. The Government intends to award a purchase order to the responsible offeror whose quotation offers the best combination of technical capabilities and proposed price; the best value (considering price and other factors). All responses/quotes submitted shall remain valid for a period of 180 days. Interested parties must be able to affirm no conflicts of interest with parties involved in Medicare claims processing in light of the work identified in this Statement of Work. In the event that the vendor/government identifies a conflict, the vendor shall be responsible for providing a mitigation strategy that satisfies the government. In the event that the conflict cannot be resolved, the order cannot be awarded or an existing order may need to be terminated.
