- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division, Panama City, Florida intends to solicit Comark Corp. 93 West Street STE A, Medfield, MA 02052-1556 on a sole source basis for sixteen (16) Sensor Interface Units for the Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) C4N. The commercial off the shelf (COTS) sensors are the only NAVSEA qualification tested and approved sensors authorized for use on the LCAC C4N.. No other sensors can be utilized and Comark Corp. is the sole manufacturer and supplier of these commercial off the shelve units. Units will be delivered, 20 weeks from the date of award, to the Naval Support Activity - Panama City, 110 Vernon Avenue, Panama City, FL 32407-7001. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price purchase order. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Parties interested in qualifying units for this or future requirements should contact the Contract Specialist, listed as the point of contact for this requirement, on or before 1:00p.m. (Central Standard Time), 11 July 11, to obtain information about the qualification process. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Department of Defense will no longer award contracts to contractors not registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Registration may be accomplished by accessing the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov/. NAICS Code 333611 applies. FSC is 1610. The Request for Quote will be issued on 14 July 2011. The award will be made on or about 20 July 2011, and it will be based on a fair and reasonable price.
