Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center located at 1540 Spring Valley Dr., Huntington, WV has a requirement for Construction Project #581-11-107 Install Fuel Tank Monitors on underground fuel tanks at the VAMC, Huntington, WV. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment and necessary supervision to complete the project. Work shall include, but not limited to, removal of existing digital tank gauges and installation of UST new UST monitoring system on (6) underground diesel fuel storage tanks, replace existing float valve with new probes, replace wiring utilizing existing conduit to connect to monitoring system. Tank capacities range from 2,000 to 15,000 gallons. Work for an additional tank in parking garage will include removing existing vent, installing new vent pipe, installing new remote fill box on exterior of parking garage and match existing system on facility grounds at pump house. Work shall also include removing 8' concrete surface to expose top of one tank, removing existing spill containment manhole and installing new 5 gallon approved spill containment manhole, removing existing and installing new approved man-way on tank. All work shall be accomplished by qualified individuals meeting full, prior and current compliance with West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection requirements for underground storage tank installer with Class A, C, D, E certificates and in accordance with specifications and drawings included in the solicitation. The construction cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. A 20% Bid Bond must be submitted with your bid if it exceeds $100,000. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONTRACTORS. Contractors must register at www.ccr.gov; https://orca.bpn.gov; and https://vets100.vets.dol.gov to be eligible for award. ORCA must reflect a small business size certification for the NAICS code noted herein. All registrations must be up-to-date and correct. The North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code is 236210 with the small business size standard of $33.5 million. Solicitation is to be posted to FEDBIZOPPS website (www.fedbizopps.gov) o/a July 15, 2011 with bids due o/a August 15, 2011. Paper solicitation will not be issued. Contractors must obtain solicitation, drawings and amendments (if issued) from this website. Bidders are reminded they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to the solicitation prior to time for bid opening.
