Solicitation No. F11PS00899 PROJECT TITLE: Asbestos Abatement, Lost Mound Unit, Savanna District REFUGE LOCATION: Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife & Fish Refuge U.S. Fish & Wildlife Services 7071 Riverview Road, Thomson, IL 61285-7692 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Work consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, materials, and transportation necessary for the removal of an asbestos containing material (ACM) which includes caulk on doors and windows, glaze on window panes, and transite roofing from multiple buildings. Some of the ACM is in poor condition, e.g., transite shingles and window panes are broken and have fallen to the ground. All ACM lying on the floor of the buildings or within 25 feet of the buildings is to be removed and the rest of the building structure will be left standing. The buildings are located within a 5-mile radius of each other. ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE: The estimated magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated. SOCIOECONOMIC PROGRAMS: This procurement is issued unrestricted and is NOT set-aside exclusively for small business concerns. For information purposes, the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 562910, Remediation Services with a size standard of $14.0 million. The solicitation package will be available via electronic commerce at http://ideas.nbc.gov and http://www.fedbizopps.gov on or about July 18, 2011, with quotes due August 19, 2011. No telephone requests for the solicitation can be accepted. Please ensure you have a complete downloaded solicitation package before submitting your Quote. It is the contractor's responsibility to ensure that they receive all appropriate solicitation documents to submit a competitive Quote.
