Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 1540 Spring Valley Dr., Huntington, WV 25704 has a requirement for a construction project 581-11-104 Replace two (2) chilled water pumps for cooling patient floors, and upgrade existing Johnson Controls System at VAMC, Huntington, WV. This is notice of intent to sole source with Johnson Controls Interiors, LLC, 4132 First Avenue, Nitro, WV 25143-1300. The Statutory Authority Permitting Other Than Full and Open Competition cited is: 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii) 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and U.S.C. 253(d)(1)(B). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Supplies/services may be deemed to be available only from the original source in the case of a follow-on contract for the continued development or production of a major system or highly specialized equipment, including major components thereof, when it is likely that award to any other source would result in-(B) unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirement.
