Description
Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC) in support of the F-16 Program Office, Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio is seeking information on the capability of existing radar systems as a replacement for the F-16 Block 40/42 APG-68(V)1 and Block 50/52 APG-68(V)5 Fire Control Radar systems. This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS), no solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. This announcement is strictly requesting information only and does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the US Government to form a binding contract. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary and no information will be returned. Any information obtained will be considered market research and may be used as a general concept, however any specific information will be treated as proprietary information, if so marked. No classified information is to be submitted to the contracting office. All classified information must be marked accordingly and submitted directly to the point of contact identified for classified information in the RFI. The U.S. Government is not liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement. Any costs incurred by interested companies in response to this announcement will NOT be reimbursed. Synopsis The USAF is requesting information from industry with regards to the Advanced Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar. The attached RFI requests information on system capabilities. Companies are encouraged to review and respond to the attached RFI. Although "proposal" and "offeror" terminology are used in this RFI, company responses will be treated for information only. Initial requests must include: company name, Company and Government Entity (CAGE) code, classified mailing address, and appropriate point of contact information.
