- The Defense Logistics Agency Maritime Detachment SMSG will be soliciting requests for proposals from business entities interested in supporting worldwide demand of various competitive o-ring items. These items are within the Federal Stock Class (5331). Solicitation SPM5M5-11-R-0008 is being issued to support this initiative for depot stock replenishment. This initiative will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items. Radio Frequency Identification is required. The initial solicitation will require pricing for 51 core NSNs. The delivery requirement will be 90 days ARO. The first NSN is 5331-00-077-7905. The annual estimated quantity for the first NSN is 350. There are 139 non-core NSNs with various quantities. Subject solicitation will be issued as an unrestricted procurement with the resultant being an Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) for a two (2) year base period and one (1) additional one-year option. In determining contract awards, the Contracting Officer will make a comparative assessment of the offerors performance risk by using the Automated Best Value System. Solicitation SPM5M5-11-R-0008 is expected to be issued 28 June 2011 at https://www.dibs.bsm.dla.mil. No hard copies of the solicitation will be available.
