- The Network Contracting Activity (NCA) is issuing a Source Sought Notice (SSN) to determine if there are any Service Disabled Veteran- Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), Hubzone Small Business, Small Disadvantage Business (8(a)), Small businesses (SB) that can provide art design, construction and installation services for the entry plaza and rotunda lobby at the Department of Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System building 520. Building 520 is an 80 bed locked inpatient mental health facility that is currently under construction and is scheduled for completion in October 2011. The Commission is to create work(s) for the interior of the lobby rotunda as well as a corresponding piece for the entry plaza outside the rotunda. The art created for the building should be considerate of the fact that it is located in a mental facility, should integrate well with the architecture of the building, and should reflect the spirit of the VA. The artist will work with the A/E firm that designed Building 520 to ensure that the art integrates well with the architecture of the building. This is SSN only; no formal solicitation document exists at this time. The proposed NAICS code is 541490 and the business size standards is $7 million At this point in the procurement process the VA is performing market research to determine the interest of SDVOSB, VOSB, Hubzone Small Business, Small Disadvantage Businesses (8(a)) and SB. Interested firms fitting one or more of the Socio-economic categories should send their information by email to Helena.Zhao@va.gov no later than 4:00 pm Pacific Time, July 6, 2011. Information should include: Name of your Company, POC name, phone numbers, email address, CCR/DUNS number and socio-economic categorie.
