- Description
- Purchase: Thomson Reuters Derwent World Drug Index for 3 named users via CD-ROM quarterly for 3 years This RFQ constitutes a "brand name or equal to" solicitation. This solicitation is in accordance with FAR 52.211-6, Brand Name or Equal. Period of Performance: 3 years 1. Statement of Need The CDER Office of Testing and Research, Division of Drug Safety Research Computational Toxicology Group provides decision support information to other units within the Center on the safety of pharmaceuticals and related chemical substances. One key service provided is safety information on drugs with chemical structures very similar to those currently being evaluated by CDER. A prime source of this information is the Thomson-Reuters Derwent World Drug Index database. The Derwent World Drug Index is a chemical structure-searchable database of drugs and related compounds. It is updated quarterly and can be used as an in-house database within CDER, which is necessary when we need to obtain information using proprietary drug submission data. The Derwent World Drug Index is used to obtain safety information on drugs with chemical structures similar to those being evaluated for safety by CDER for research and the CDER Computational Toxicology Consultation Service. Updated versions of Derwent are sent quarterly and include information on all drugs regulated, being considered for regulation, or being prepared for submission for regulatory approval anywhere in the world. Quotes shall be submitted by email only as a MS Word or Adobe PDF attachment to Brandi Saddler at Brandi.Saddler@fda.hhs.gov. Quotes are due by 12:00pm Eastern Standard Time on July 1, 2011. Any questions must be addressed to Brandi Saddler, Brandi.Saddler@fda.hhs.gov/301-827-7171.
