Description
On or about 24 June 2011, this office will issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) W9128F-11-T-0100 for the purchase of Debris Boom for the Lewis and Clark Lake Project, near Yankton, South Dakota. Quotes will be dueby 3:00 P.M. central standard time on 28 June 2011. This Request for Quotation will be set aside for small business participation only under the NAICS Code 332313, Plate Work Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 employees. The supplies consist of a permanent type debris boom, 450 feet in length and including sufficient ballast material to keep the boom ver tical in a curent that is 1.5 to 1.75 feet per second. The boom shall have a freeboard of a minimum of 10 inches to a maximum of 12 inches. The boom shall have a draft of a minimum of 20 inches and maximum of 24 inches. The boom fabric shall be designed with a minimum of 1500 lbs/inch tensile strength. The boom flotation material shall be made of polyurethane foam and covered in highly visible skin in either yellow or orange. The anchors to be provided include 2 each - 400 lb pyramid style anchors, 1 each - 300 lb pyramid style anchor, and 1 each - 200 lb pyramid style anchor. A concrete anchor shall be provided to be installed in a vertical concrete wall, and be designed to hold up to 2000 lbs. All necessary hardware shall be provided to install all four anchors to the buoy. This will also include all necessary cables and rope.
