- Notice of Intent To Sole Source a Subscription Renewal of Online Electronic Subscription to Moody's Economy.com The Social Security Administration intends to issue on a sole-source basis a firm fixed price purchase order to Moody's Economy.com for continued access to their online electronic subscription, Moody's Economy. This is a renewal. The subscription includes online access to six publications and databases. This resource is used by SSA's economists to conduct quantitative/econometric analyses and plan for future program requirements. The period of performance will be for one year beginning October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012. Under FAR (Federal Acquisition Procedures) Part 6.302.1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Sources Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This requirement is utilizing procedures in the FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items in conjunction with procedures in FAR Part 13. This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation, but merely notification of the Government's intent to renew this subscription from Moody's Economy, Inc. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government does not intend to pay for information provided in response to this publication. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. If no affirmative responses are received within 3 business days, in accordance with FAR 13-106-1(b)(1) negotiations will be conducted with Moody's Economy as the only source and a purchase order will be issued without any additional notices being posted.
