- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for proposal and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation available at this time. Military Sealift Fleet Support Command is seeking eligible businesses to perform and deliver the following lodging services in Norfolk, VA: A hotel or property management company that can provide lodging services for an average of 200 Civilian Mariners per day. Three (3) properties may be used to complete this task. The contractor/primary facility must provide lodging for 51% of the Civilian Mariners at all times. This translates to 101 mariners at any given time. The additional facilities will only be used when the primary lodging facility exceeds its capacity. The contractor shall furnish necessary facilities, including furniture, equipment and supplies, management, and supervision of the hotel labor force. Such facilities shall be located within a twenty-five (25) mile radius of CIVMAR Support Unit-East (CSU-E), Bldg SP-312, 581 A Street, Norfolk, VA 23511-2419, using www.google.com. The facilities and Naval Station Norfolk must not be separated by a tunnel. Sources may be large or small business concerns. The Government anticipates a period of performance with a one (1) base year and four (4) 1-year option periods commencing on 18 January 2012. The appropriate NAICS Code is 721110. Again, THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR PROPOSAL. This is a market research tool used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of an award. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. It is requested that interested businesses submit a brief capabilities package demonstrating ability to provide the requested services. Submission of a capabilities package is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the Government in tailoring requirement to be consistent with industry. This document shall address, as a minimum the following: (a) Company profile to include number of employees, office location(s), DUNS number, and CAGE Code (b) Point of contact, telephone number, fax number, address, and email address (if available) (c) Answers to the following questions: Does the property provide dining facilities for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? Are there dining facilities within one half mile from the primary and each of the backup facilities, including "fast-food" establishments and/or "full-service" establishments? How will facility/hotel staff provide a means of storing and safeguarding (safe or vault) small, high value personal property of the occupants? Does the hotel allow free parking? Are pets allowed to stay in the rooms, if so, what are the restrictions associated with pets on the property? Is smoking allowed in any of the rooms, if so, what are the restrictions associated with smoking on the property? All properties must be willing to supply a refrigerator and microwave for each room housing a Civilian Mariner. Will all three of the properties be able to do this? What is the location of your nearest bus stop? Do you have both coin operated washers and dryers onsite? Do you provide free, functional Internet connection in each room? Vendors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations & Certifications (ORCA).
