Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Request for Quotes (RFQ) and is 100% set aside for small businesses. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the procurement is 327215 and the Small Business size standard is 500 employees. The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Contracting Office, has a requirement for the fabrication and delivery of one (1) (with option to purchase up to three (3) more) Circular/Cylindrical Fish Tanks to be delivered to the Aquatic Center Building 5036, Lewisville Aquatic Research Laboratory Lewisville, TX. Line Item 0001: Provide one (1) Circular/Cylindrical Fish Tank in accordance with the specifications below, Quantity 1, Unit: Each, Unit Price_______, Total Amount____________. (Unit Price shall include installation/shipping costs) Line Item 0002: Option to provide up to three (3) additional Circular/Cylindrical Fish Tanks in accordance with the specifications below, Quantity up to three (3), Unit: Each, Unit Price_____________, Total Amount_____________. (Unit Price shall include installation/shipping costs) Specifications for Fish Tanks in the Aquatic Center, Building 5036 Product Description Tank Shape - Circular/cylindrical Approximate Dimensions: Diameter - 10 ft, Depth - 4 ft Approximate volume - 2,000-3000 gallons (depending on depth of water) Material - fiberglass or rugged plastic Insulated Center drain (with grating to ensure fish safety) piped to outside of tank for emptying Secure bottom for fork lift movement Lids for Tanks Removable Clear solid or mesh for visibility from top If solid, vented for gas exchange Sand filters Fiberglass or rugged plastic containers Greater than 24 inches diameter Capable of filtering up to 200 gallons per minute silica sand Mechanical filters Cartridge filter chambers Cartridges for chambers Capable of filtering up to 200 gallons per minute UV Filters for disinfection Cartridge for UV filter Replaceable UV bulbs Water pump Capable of pumping 200 gallons per minute Rheostat to control pumping rate Inflow (water coming into tank) on a swivel or other device to change direction of flow Chiller/Heater Capable of maintaining water temperatures ranging from 40 to 80 F All necessary hardware, pvc, and adapters for full installation Fully installed Shipping included In accordance with 52.212-2 Award shall be made to the responsible offeror whose quote is determined to be Lowest Price Technically Acceptable.
