Description
THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: quotations are being requested and a WRITTEN NOTICE WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This is a firm fixed price contract. Simplified acquisition procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR Part 12. The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Office of Acquisition Management (FA) intends to procure the following: Digital Guardian Windows Desktop Agent - up to 80,000 seats; Quantity: 2,000. Digital Guardian Windows Adaptive Content Inspection (ACI) - up to 80,000 seats; Quantity: 2,000. Digital Guardian Windows Removable Media Encryption (RME) - up to 80,000 seats; Quantity: 2,000. Digital Guardian Windows Server Agent - up to 500 servers; Quantity: 300. Digital Guardian Windows Investigative Module; Quantity: 2,000. Digital Guardian Management Console Server (DGMCSS) for up to 5,000 clients with Advanced Reporting; Quantity: 1. Professional Services Daily Rate; Quantity: 60 days. Digital Guardian Boot Camp- 5 day Class; Quantity: 3 attendees. Maintenance and Support 24x7 for One Year; Quantity: 1. brand name or equal with delivery by July 2011, FOB destination. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) applicable to this requirement is 541511. The specifications for this product are available at: www.verdasys.com. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses which are in effect through the current Federal Acquisition Circular. Applicable FAR clauses are incorporated by reference: 52.232-33 Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer (Oct 2003) 52.204-7 Central Contractor Registration (Apr 2008) 52.243-1 Changes - Fixed Price (Aug 1987) Alt I, II or III (Apr 1984) 52.213-2 Invoices (Apr 1984) 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal As used in this provision, the term "brand name" includes identification of products by make and model. If items called for by this solicitation have been identified by a "brand name or equal" description, such identification is intended to be descriptive, but not restrictive, and is to indicate the quality and characteristics of products that will be satisfactory. Offers of "equal" products (including products of the brand name manufacturer other than the one described by brand name) will be considered for award if such products are clearly identified in the offer and are determined by the Contracting Officer to meet the salient characteristics requirements listed in the solicitation. Offerors proposing to furnish an "equal" product in accordance with the "Brand Name or Equal" provision of this solicitation shall provide the following information for each offered "equal" product: Contract Line item number Brand Name or Equal Product as Identified by the Government Offered Product Name Catalog Description or part number Manufacturer's name Manufacturer's address All contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR.) ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES MAY SUBMIT A QUOTATION FOR CONSIDERATION. Award will be made to the lowest-priced technically acceptable responsible offeror.
