Industry will be provided an opportunity to ask questions about the window area. The intent of the Industry Day is to provide advance information about the EEW requirement to Industry. The United States Marine Corps (USMC) MTVR vehicles has a requirement for the EEW to provide alternative egress from the MTVR in the event that normal egress routes were no longer usable. The overall goal is to provide an EEW that will allow the Marine emergency egress when the situation dictates. The desired windows should: 1) sustain the same level of ballistic protection as the current window; 2) integrate around current Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) located inside the cab; and 3) retain the means of egress when in a rollover situation. More information regarding the requirements will be available at the Industry Day. This Industry Day announcement is for planning purposes only and is NOT to be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government to enter into a contractual agreement, nor will the Government pay for any information solicited. Further, the Marine Corps Systems Command is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. When the solicitation is released, it will be released on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. It is the responsibility of the potential Offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement. Location: Transportation Demonstration Support Area Quantico VA, 22134 Security Base Access - Military and DOD personnel show DOD identification. - Civilians show driver's license, vehicle registration & proof of insurance. Security classification: Unclassified Attendance to this Industry Day is recommended for all vendors interested in the EEW. Due to space limitations, interested parties are requested to limit attendance to no more than three (3) people.
