- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center San Diego intends to acquire parts to repair the Ipsen Ion Vapor Deposition (IVD) The parts are a variable auto transformer power supply (480 VAC, 3 Phase, 60 Hz), quantity 1 each; holding line assembly (to include 2 butterfly valve with built on solenoid valve and pneumatic hose, tube and hose fittings, adapters and flanges, 1-1/2 flex hose, and installation diagram), quantity 1 group; and mechanical pump ballast valve, quantity 1 each. Anticipate the award of a Firm Fixed Price supply type contract. Solicitation number N00244-11-T-0303 applies and will be issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) under FAR Part 13. The solicitation will open on July 5, 2011 and close at 1600 on July 11, 2011. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333414, and the business size standard is 500. This is a sole source action to Ipsen, Inc. The method of invoicing and payment shall be by Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF). This announcement will close at 1600 on July 5, 2011. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. 23. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service or the manufacturer meets qualification requirement at time of award, in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1 or 52.209-2. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements and is cited in each individual solicitation. 26. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
