- This is a 100% Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside for Project 678-11-110, Chiller Plant Updates. The Contractor shall furnish material, equipment, supervision and labor for all the work required to update the chilled water distribution system, chiller plant and the addition of an ice storage plant. The chilled water system update is the addition of chilled water supply and return lines routed above and below ground, connection to air handlers and change-out of 3 way valves with 2 way valves on selected air handlers. The chiller plant update is demolition and replacement of chiller and cooling towers, system balance, piping changes and electrical modifications, primary and secondary. The ice plant is a glycol chiller, plate and frame heat exchanger, ice storage tanks, building to house the equipment and installation of electrical equipment, primary and secondary. Work shall include general construction, demolition, removal and disposal of existing equipment and materials, alterations, electrical, controls, architectural, civil and mechanical work, utility systems, testing, start-up, necessary removal of existing equipment, locating and relocating equipment and other items. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS Code) is 238220. Project Magnitude is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The proposed period of performance for this acquisition is 450 calendar days after the notice to proceed issuance. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about July 11th, 2011 via Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. It is the responsibility of all interested parties to review the FBO website frequently for updates and/or amendments to any and all documents for this solicitation. Any prospective SDVOSB contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov/, and the Vetbiz Registry at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/general_user/search/, in order to be eligible for award. The closing date and time for submission of proposals will be contained in the solicitation. No paper copies will be issued. No telephone, facsimile, or written request will be accepted.
