Description
STATEMENT OF WORK Base Bid & Unit Price Requirements CONSTRUCTION BASE BID The contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, supervision, and personnel necessary to accomplish the project as indicated on the drawings and in the specifications. The project will involve but not be limited to trades required for the removal and replacement of the shingle roofing and drainage systems, excavation around the perimeter of the building to furnish sheet waterproofing, foundation and roof leader drainage systems, removal of portions of a concrete retaining wall and vegetation, replacement of portions of a concrete retaining wall, removal and replacement of an existing wood stair with an open grating steel stair, removal and replacement of a retaining wall, removal and replacement of aluminum windows and the partial infill at existing window openings, furnish a floor drainage assembly in an existing steam tunnel and concrete and asphalt pavement repairs. The Contractor is advised that the Notice to Proceed is anticipated to be issued in immediately and shall bid accordingly. $ 270 Calendar Days Completion Time from Notice to Proceed UNIT PRICE REQUIREMENTS These unit prices will be used as a basis to compute additional payment to the contractor for work in excess of that stipulated in the base bid and conversely as credit to the government for work performed by the Contractor that is less stipulated in the base bid. UNIT PRICE 1: UNIT PRICE FOR REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF TOUNGE AND GROOVE WOOD DECKING. $ ______________per Square Foot The estimated quantity of tongue and groove wood decking in the base Bid has been determined to be 500 square feet. (This is in addition to the T & G wood decking indicated to be removed and replaced on the drawings.) If less than five-hundred (500) square feet of T&G decking is replaced during construction, the contract will be reduced by the unit price times the square footage of T&G decking not used. If more than five-hundred (500) square feet of T&G decking is replaced during construction, the contract price will be modified and increased by the square feet over five-hundred (500) times the unit price. All changes to the contract will be made in accordance with the FAR. Bidders must insert a price per square foot as a separate item in their bid package. UNIT PRICE 2: UNIT PRICE FOR REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OF PLYWOOD SHEATHING. $ ______________per Square Foot The estimated quantity of plywood sheathing to be removed and replaced on the existing roof deck in the base Bid has been determined to be 100 square feet. (This is in addition to the plywood sheathing indicated to be removed and replaced on the drawings.) If less than one-hundred (100) square feet of plywood sheathing is replaced during construction, the contract will be reduced by the unit price times the square footage of plywood sheathing not used. If more than one-hundred (100) square feet of plywood sheathing is replaced during construction, the contract price will be modified and increased by the square feet over one-hundred (100) times the unit price. All changes to the contract will be made in accordance with the FAR. Bidders must insert a price per square foot as a separate item in their bid package. UNIT PRICE 3: UNIT PRICE FOR PATCHING THE EXISTING CONCRETE/ CMU FOUNDATION WALL. $ ______________per Square Foot The estimated quantity of patching the existing foundation wall in the base Bid has been determined to be 250 square feet. If less than two-hundred and fifty (250) square feet of foundation wall is patched during construction, the contract will be reduced by the unit price times the square footage of patching not used. If more than two-hundred and fifty (250) square of foundation wall is patched during construction, the contract price will be modified and increased by the square feet over two-hundred and fifty (250) times the unit price. All changes to the contract will be made in accordance with the FAR. Bidders must insert a price per square foot as a separate item in their bid package. UNIT PRICE 4: UNIT PRICE FOR ROCK EXCAVATION. $ ______________per Cubic Yards The estimated quantity of rock excavation in the base Bid has been determined to be 10 cubic yards. If less than ten (10) cubic yards of rock is excavated during construction, the contract will be reduced by the unit price times the cubic yards of rock not excavated. If more than ten (10) cubic yards of rock is excavated during construction, the contract price will be modified and increased by the cubic yards over ten (10) times the unit price. All changes to the contract will be made in accordance with the FAR. Bidders must insert a price per cubic yard as a separate item in their bid package. Completion time is 270 calendar days from Notice to Proceed.
