Description
Solicitation Contractor will be required to install, remove, and transport tainter gate stoplogs for dam safety and structural integrity purposes, needed to de-water the work area around T1 at the Raystown Lake Project. Solicitation will be available to FBO registered contractors to view/download/print out the solicitation documents. The CONTRACTOR shall furnish all labor, material, supplies and equipment, including equipment operators, necessary to perform the work. The work is to be performed under the direction of the Contracting Officer or the Authorized Representative of the Contracting Officer and includes, but is not limited to, the following technical specifications. The major elements of the project include: a. Remove stoplogs from storage. b. Installation of 27 stoplogs (dive activity) c. Removal of 27 stoplogs (dive activity) d. Return stoplogs to storage. A PRE-BID TOUR IS NOT SCHEDULED FOR a specific time or date. Pre-bid site visits may be obtained by contacting Mr. Dwight Beall, at any time, before the date of the closing of this solicitation. Prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to visit actual site locations. Also, they should discuss contract requirements with the representative of the Contracting Officer, the Operations Manager-Raystown Lake for full understanding of work to be performed prior to submitting a bid. a. The Technical Point of Contact for this contract is Mr. Dwight Beall, he can be reached at (814) 658-3405 x 2801. For questions contact Mr. Beall between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Submit responses to the solicitation (RFQ), no later than 3:00 P.M. Eastern Time, July 1, 2011, to: USACE Baltimore, Contracting Division, Room 7000, ATTN: James Mazurick, 10 S. Howard St, Baltimore, MD 21201 Please refer to Section M - Evaluation Factors for Award, page 54 of the Solicitation, for Evaluation Criteria and Content of Proposals (Submittals).
