Description

The VA Medical Center, Providence, RI, is seeking sources that are verified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) to perform inspection and testing of fire dampers located throughout Building 1, VAMC Providence, 830 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence, RI. The work includes locating approximately 183 existing fire dampers; inspect and test all fire dampers; remove and rest fusible links on dampers to verify that each damper fully closes; lubricate all moving parts on each damper; clear each damper of debris that would impede the damper's normal operation; replace or repair springs and/or access handles; ensure each fire damper has an identification tag; and incidental related work (NAICS 811310, small business size $7 million). In order to be responsive to this sources sought notice you must be verified by the Center for Veterans Enterprise in accordance with VA Acquisition Regulation 804.1102 and comply with the requirements of Public Law 109-461. All responsible interested sources are encouraged to submit their capabilities in regard to the above no later than close of business June 30, 2011. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. Please include your company name, address, telephone number, email address, technical point of contact, proof of CVE verification, and documentation addressing the ability to meet the requirements of Public Law 109-461; specifically for services at least 50 percent of the cost of personnel for contract performance will be spent for employees of the concern or of other eligible SDVOSB or for construction by special trade 25 percent of the cost of personnel for contract performance will be spent for employees of the concern or of other eligible SDVOSB. The same requirements apply for VOSB. Sources interested in this acquisition should adequately describe their experience performing this type of requirement. Interested sources should ensure that registration in CCR is current and accurate and they are certified in Vet biz as Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Veteran Owned Small Businesses. This is a market survey for informational and planning purposes only. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION. Please be advised that the Government will not pay for any information submitted under this announcement.
