- Description
- 1. Is there an incumbent contractor for this requirement? A. The solicitation is for a blanket purchase agreement. There were several agreement holders on the previous BPA. The intent of this BPA is to award multiple agreements. 2. What were the contract length and the awarded value to date on the incumbent contract? A. The previous Moving BPA was for a 5 year agreement. The master limit on the previous BPA was $2,500,000. There is no minimum guarantee on the agreements, they are for an as needed basis. Each requirement will be competed amongst the BPA holders. 3. What type of inventory system is currently used and would Ft. Carson prefer to use this system going forward? A. Contractors will not be required to utilize an inventory management system. Contractors will utilize a standard excel spreadsheet. 4. What size storage facility is currently being used, or will need to be used to accommodate all items? A. A Fort Carson warehouse will not be available for contractor to store items. Storage facility is addressed in section "3.d. Storage Facilities" of the Performance Work Statement (PWS). 5. How much inventory is currently stored off-site, that will need to be moved to a new storage facility? A. Currently none. Storage may range from a 50 items to hundreds or thousands of pieces depending upon mission. 6. Is there a current inventory listing that can be provided? A. An inventory list will be provided for each individual call (move) to those who become BPA holders on the agreement. This is not a contract and no need for moving services currently exists. 7. How often have the move/reconfigure orders been issued over the term of the last contract? A. The frequency of the moves varies depending on the customer's needs. Over the last five years, a total of 4 calls have been placed against these BPAs during the period of July 2010 - June 2011, not per BPA holder.
