Solicitation No. F11PS00729 PROJECT TITLE: Observation Platform & Boardwalk at Big Stone National Wildlife Refuge, Odessa, Minnesota Site location: Hwy 75 dam road overlooking the East Pool impoundment on Big Stone NWR REFUGE LOCATION: Big Stone National Wildlife Refuge, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, 44843 County Road 19, Odessa, MN 56276-2111 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Project consists of furnishing all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary for the construction of an observation platform and a boardwalk with overhead canopy roof. The work consists of grading, ecavation, concrete piers, and carpentry. Platform will be constructed out of TREX or like material and will match existing overlooks on Big Stone NWR. Platform will be constructed on an upland site, not in water, and must be approximately 1' to 2' above ground level. Size will be approximately 20'x20' with an adjacent boardwalk. Boardwalk will extend from platform to existing asphalt walking trail. ESTIMATED MAGNITUDE: The estimated magnitude of this requirement in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated. SOCIOECONOMIC PROGRAMS: This procurement is issued unrestricted and is NOT set-aside exclusively for small business concerns. For information purposes, the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 238990, All Other Specialty Trade Contractors with a size standard of $14.0 million. The solicitation package will be available via electronic commerce at http://ideas.nbc.gov and http://www.fedbizopps.gov on or about July 8, 2011, with quotes due July 28, 2011.
