- DESCRIPTION:This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format found in FAR Subpart 12.6 and 13.105, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this request is F11PS00869 and the solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the current Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 2005-52) and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). This is set aside 100% for small business. NAICS classification code: 321992 and PCS: 5410. The business size standard is 500 employees. This is fixed price procurement; requirements will be procured using commercial item procedures. Award will be determined utilizing best value comparison of all offers. SPECIFICATIONS/STATEMENT OF WORK: Replacement of Public Use Cabins at Kodiak NWR Location:Refuge lands located on Uganik Island and near Kaiugnak Bay. Background:Kodiak NWR is in need of two modular cabin kits to support a public use cabin program on the refuge. The refuge provides nine cabins for public recreational use across the Kodiak archipelago. A popular cabin located on Uganik Island is over 30 years old and has deteriorated to the point where it must be replaced. The refuge plans a comprehensive evaluation of all other public use cabins to determine if others are in need of replacement. If all other public use cabins are found to be adequate, an additional cabin will be established on Kaiugnuk Bay on the east side of Kodiak Island. The Kodiak NWR CCP allows for 11 public use cabins on the refuge. The cabin locations are in remote areas accessible only by ship or float plane. Cabin kits that can be brought to the work site by these two transportation methods are required.
