Description

This notice is for Solicitation No. VA-243-11-IB-0250 - Project No. 526-10-141, Renovate Research Building 105 at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center 130 West Kingsbridge Road Bronx, NY 10468. This shall be a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). As a result, all SDVOSB's may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 236220, and has a size standard of $33.5 Million. The cost estimate range for this project is $2,000,000 to $5,000,000. The work for this requirement consists of, but is not limited to: General contractor must furnish all labor, design, materials, tools and supervision to complete the following (Statement Of Work is inclusive but not limited to the following for fully functional laboratory space): Renovation of the fifth (5th) floor in building 105 includes but is not limited to temporary construction barriers, demolition, and asbestos removal of laboratory countertops. New work encompasses modification of electrical, plumbing, sprinkler, gas and HVAC systems, replacement of the existing air handler unit and associated controls, interior finishes and laboratory work space equipment. All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation will be released on or about July 15, 2011. The bid submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires a bid bond, performance and payment bonds and all bid submissions shall be in hardcopies properly signed and sealed; faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. All bidders shall be registered in www.ccr.gov, www.vetbiz.gov, and www.orca.bpn.gov. Bidder must be responsible and verified as a service disabled veteran owned small business prior to award. In order to expedite award to a low bidder all bidders are encouraged to submit their paper work to be verified as a service disabled veteran owned small business prior to submitting a bid. Paperwork should be submitted to the Center for Veterans Enterprise.
