Description
THIS PROCUREMENT IS A 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) FIRMS. VISN 5 Network Contracting anticipates the award of a firm-fixed-price contract for Halls & Walls Construction Project No. 688-10-034, at the VA Maryland Health Care System, Washington DC VAMC, 50 Irving Street NW, Washington DC 20422. Contractor will be responsible to provide all supervision, labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to perform routine maintenance and repair of typical interior finishes which will include: removal and replacement of wall covering, replacement and refinishing of handrails, replacement of bumper guards, painting, repair acoustical ceiling tile, replace/repair floor tile, and update nurses station. This work is to take place in the Community Living Center area of the hospital (wings H, K, Dining Area and Lobby). All work shall be in accordance with the drawings and specifications. All work is to be completed within approximately 365 calendar days after date of receipt of notice to proceed. This includes final inspection and clean-up. The applicable North American Industry Classification System Code for this procurement is 238390. To be considered a small business under this code the SBA size standard must not exceed $14.0 Million. The construction cost range for the project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The Invitation for Bids (IFB) will be issued on or about July 8, 2011. Prospective bid opening will be on August 9, 2011 in the Facilities Management Services conference room BH-132, Washington DC VAMC. All information for this solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps http://www.fbo.gov. The Government will not provide paper copies of the solicitation. Bidders will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package, drawings, and subsequent amendments, if any. The solicitation will be issued pursuant to the authority of Public Law 109-461, 38 U.S.C. 8127 and 8128. Telephone, written, facsimile, or e-mail requests for the solicitation will NOT be honored. A site-visit is tentatively scheduled for JULY 19, 2010 10:00 AM meeting in room BH-132 FMS Conference Room, Washington DC VA Medical Center. Potential bidders MUST register at FedBizOpps www.fbo.gov in order to receive notifications and/or changes to the solicitation. Potential bidders are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information. The Interested Vendors List (IVL) will be activated and may be accessed and printed from the FedBizOpps website. All interested parties MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database and must have completed the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at https://orca.bpn.gov prior to contract award. Only SDVOSB Firms currently verified in the Veterans Information Pages (VIP) at www.vetbiz.gov or SDVOSB Firms currently listed, pending verification in VIP is eligible to submit bids. SDVOSB firms that submit bids on SDVOSB set-asides that are not listed on VIP will be deemed nonresponsive. If you are not registered with CCR, you may request an application via phone at 1-888-227-2423 or register online at http://www.ccr.gov. You may register in VIP at http://vip.vetbiz.gov.
