This sources sought notice is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation as defined in FAR Part 15.201. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Offerors are advised that only Contracting Officers are authorized to commit the government to the obligation of funds. VISN 7 Contracting Network Office is performing market research to determine potential services in preparation for a potential future contract for interested and capable businesses for performance of annual maintenance services for Toshiba MRI Model: ATLASX, Serial Number: 327080, at the CAVHCS VAMC. The anticipated procurement will have a base year and 4 one year option periods. The Contractor shall provide all labor, parts, travel, unlimited emergency calls, unlimited repair service management and labor necessary to the following equipment: TOSHIBA MRI, MODEL: ATLASX SERIAL NUMBER: 327080, LOCATION: GB119-001-MO, EE# 57266 OPTIONS: CARDIAC GATING UNIT, PERIPHERAL GATING PACKAGE, RESPIRATORY GATING PACKAGE, COILS: WRIST SPEEDER, SPINE SPEEDER, HEAD COIL, KNEE/FOOT/ANKLE COIL, FLEX COIL, BREAST COIL, SHOULDER ARRAY COIL, CERVICAL, OPEN TYPE, HEAD COIL, BODY ATLAS COIL, 70MM FLEX COIL, 100MM FLEX COIL, 150MM FLEX COIL, 200MM FLEX COIL, CIRCULAR PACK ATLAS FLEX COIL All work performed by the Contractor shall be performed in accordance with the Performance Work Statement, all applicable laws, regulations, standards, instructions, and commercial practices. This sources sought notice will be followed by a request for proposal. All possible offerors are encouraged to submit information supporting this notice. Electronic responses are strongly encouraged. This solicitation will result in a firm fixed-price contract.. The Request for Proposals (RFP) number is VA247-11-RP-0281. The applicable NAICS code is 811219 and the small business size standard is $19.0 million. TELEPHONIC REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. When issued, the solicitation will be available only by downloading from the Federal Business Opportunities website at https://www.fbo.gov/. The estimated issue date is on or around 01 August 2011, and the anticipated closing date 15 August 2011 at 12:00:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. The proposal shall be completed and returned for a price evaluation.
