Description

THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. No Solicitation is currently available. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 5, Network Contracting Activity will be issuing a solicitation to award a construction contract to a General Contractor for Project 688-328, Install New Boiler Plant project at the VAMC, 50 Irving St., NW, Washington, DC. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be released on/about July 11, 2011. The work includes general construction, roads, walks, grading, drainage, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, underground storage tanks, generator and necessary removal of existing structures. At this point in the procurement process, the Department of Veterans Affairs is performing market research to determine contractor socio-economic category, e.g. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, etc. and bonding capacity. Interested firms should send, by e-mail only, the following information: Socio-Economic Category; DUNS number; Maximum bonding capability for a single bid and; total maximum bonding capacity. Information shall be sent to judi.graziano@va.gov by close of business June 30, 2011. Estimated construction cost is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Information received will be used in any set aside determination. The NAICS code for this procurement will be 236220.
