- The Afghanistan Engineer District-North, Kabul, Afghanistan has a need to modify and increase the existing Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC) Number W912ER-09-D-0008 for personal services to exclusively support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) with its mission in Afghanistan. The SATOC capacity of $31,662,000 million will be increased by $12,299,756. Task orders under the SATOC consists of adding Local National Personnel to support the increased number of construction projects. The SATOC is with Shafi Sirat, Inc., under Task Order Contract Number W912ER-09-D-0008, Khair Khana, Across from Block #18B Panjsad Family, Kabul, Afghanistan 99999. The NAICS for this requirement is 541330 Engineering Services. The purpose of this increase to the current SATOC capacity is to provide additional capacity to support the growing needs of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) with its mission in Afghanistan and a bridge until a new SATOC requirement is awarded. The anticipated award of the new SATOC requirement is late 1st Quarter Fiscal Year 2012 or early 2nd Quarter Fiscal Year 2012. This Notice is not a request for bid/quote/proposal and no contract will be awarded on a basis of offers received in response to this notice, but responses will be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the Government. Any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the contracting officer, Daisy DuBose. Responses shall show clear and convincing evidence to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed and that competition would be advantageous to the government. Responses are due by 3 July 2011 at 3:00 p.m. (local Kabul time). All responses shall be sent to Mr. Daniel Portillo at daniel.n.portillo@usace.army.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice is posted in accordance with FAR Parts 5.201 and 6.302-1.
