- The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Lyndon B. Johnson SpaceCenter is releasing a NASA Request of Information (RFI) for Research and TechnologyDevelopment to Support Crew Health and Performance in Space Exploration Missions.NNJ11ZSA001L, entitled 'Request of Information on Topics Supporting Crew Health andPerformance,' will be available electronically on or about June 17, 2011, by opening theNASA Research Opportunities homepage at http://nspires.nasaprs.com/ and thenclicking the link through the menu listings 'Solicitations' to 'Open Solicitations.' ThisRFI solicits responses in support of the Human Research Program (HRP). To supportformulation of the NASA Research Announcement titled Research and Technology Developmentto Support Crew Health and Performance in Space Exploration Missions scheduled to bereleased in August 2011, the HRP is seeking feedback regarding the following topics:Human Interaction with Automation and Robotics; Team Social, Technical, and Task Roles;Effects of Constrained, Asynchronous Communication on Operational Tasks. Responses forthis RFI are due on July 1, 2011. Participation is open to all categories oforganizations, including educational institution, industry, nonprofit organizations, NASAcenters, and other Government agencies. Respondents must use the NASA Solicitation andProposal Integrated Review and Evaluation System (NSPIRES) web site for responsesubmission. All respondents are required to register with NSPIRES first, and are urged toaccess this site well in advance of the RFI due date to familiarize themselves with itsstructure and enter the requested identifier information. Questions concerning respondingto this RFI may be addressed to the contacts located in NSPIRES. NASA will not make anaward on the basis of this RFI or to otherwise pay for the information solicited.
