Description

Fleet and Industrial Supply Center San Diego is conducting an unclassified Pre-Solicitation Conference (Industry Day) to discuss a contract vehicle that will provide janitorial and sanitation supplies to all CONUS Navy activities as well as activities in Hawaii, Alaska, and Guam. The purpose of the event is to provide a status update of the procurement process and to give industry a chance to review and provide comments to the draft RFP which is attached to this announcement. Comments are to be provided at industry day. The solicitation numbers for these requirements are N0024411R0004 and N0024411R0006. Both solicitations were announced via NECO and FBO on 17 December 2010. While both solicitations are similarly worded, Solicitation N0024411R0004 is a small business set-aside for Federal Supply Codes 7910, 7920, and 7930. Solicitation N0024411R0006 is full and open competition for United Nations Standard Products and Services Code 47000000. The one day conference will be held 29 June 2011 at 937 North Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92132 from 0900 to approximately 1600. Attendees shall check in with the security guard on the first floor near the elevators and wait for an escort to Floor 7. Attendees may start arriving at 0830. Each company may be limited to one (1) attendee due to space constraints. Interested potential offerors shall forward the names of their attendee by email to Daniel R. Mahan at daniel.mahan@navy.mil and Tine Thompson at tine.thompson@navy.mil no later than 23 June 2011. The anticipated date of solicitation posting is July 2011 with an anticipated award date of August 2011. Please note that these are only projected dates and may change. Any further postings will be announced via NECO/FBO. This announcement is not a contract, request for proposal, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind on the part of the Government. The Navy will not assume liability for costs incurred by an attendee or for travel expenses or marketing efforts; therefore, attendee cost in response to this notice is not considered an allowable direct charge to the Government.
