Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small businesses, including 8(a) small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, woman-owned small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or HUBZone small businesses capable of providing an autoclave. This autoclave shall have the following features: 1) Programmable Logic Control (PLC) system with touch screen display, and 32-column alpha/numeric printer, and 30 sterilization cycles 2) Chamber size 56" wide, 62" tall, 120" deep 3) Gravity and Prevacuum cycle capability. (Cycles shall be able to be configured as gravity, glassware, liquids (open and vented containers), media, biobags, leak test in the temperature range of 105° C to 138° C) 4) Chamber and door construction: 316L stainless steel 5) 304 stainless steel jacket 6) 25 Ra chamber & door finish 7) Sectional design for egress 8) Shall accommodate four 23"W x 39"D x 58"H carts 9) Low profile jacket to minimize ramp height 10) EnviroVac high vacuum system (allows operation of sterilizer at low water pressure installations (less than 25 psi water pressure). Water pressure fluctuations will not affect performance of the high vacuum system. Reduces total sterilizer water consumption to less than 8 GPM. Attains 28.5" hg. Includes condenser for reduction of discharge temperature to < 130° F) 11) Pneumatic piston valves 12) Automatic horizontal sliding door 13) Smoke ventilators with hepa filters 14) Fire watch during burn permit timeline This request is for interested firms with the capability of providing the required laboratory equipment to submit a capability statement to assist the Government in determining in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.502-2(b) whether or not this procurement will be set-aside for any of the programs described above. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code 333298 with a size standard of 500 employees. All respondents are requested to identify their firm's size and type of business. Interested firms responding to this market survey must provide a capability statement demonstrating their experience, skills and capability to fulfill the Government's requirements for the above. The capability statement shall be in sufficient enough detail, but not to exceed fifteen (15) pages, so that the Government can determine the experience and capability of your firm to provide the requirements above. Your capability statement should include a minimum of three references. Two (2) copies of the capability statement must be received at the following address: 6100 Executive Blvd, Suite 5Z00, Rockville, MD 20852 prior to 3:00 PM local time at designated location June 27, 2011. Capability statement must reference solicitation# NIH-NICHD-11-071. Responses by fax or e-mail WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
