Description
NSWCCD Philadelphia is currently looking for sources that could furnish/provide solenoid operated 3 position air valves for U.S. Navy gas turbine system applications. The valve must be capable of operating with air at pressures exceeding 300 psig and temperatures between -20 and 350 F. The valve body should be composed of CRES 300 series or better. The internal seals should be Perfluoroelastomers. The valve must be capable of operating on 18-30 VDC and should be rated for continuous use. The valve should have both the "Normally Open" and "Normally Closed" orifices on one side of the valve. Those orifices should be 1/2" in diameter. Dimensionally, the valve should not exceed 3" wide by 8" long by 3" thick. The valve must also have through holes through the body for mounting to a bracket. This sources sought announcement does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the Government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. The U.S. Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement. Any costs incurred by interested companies in response to this announcement or incurred for participation in the pre-solicitation conference will NOT be reimbursed. Any information provided that is marked as proprietary information will be safeguarded to prevent disclosures to non-government personnel and entities.
