- Description
- The Department of the Interior, Acquisition Services Directorate (AQD) intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source purchase order to Peerless-Winsmith, Inc. on June 17, 2011. This procurement is being made pursuant to 10 USC 2304(c)1 and FAR parts 13.106 and 6.302-1, for other than full and open competition; only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The anticipated value of the order will be approximately $66,070.00. The award will be for Gearbox Seal Kits (Part Number 651229-124). The NAICS Code is 333612 - Speed Changer, Industrial High-Speed Drive, and Gear Manufacturing and the size standard is 500. The delivery requirement is 7 weeks after award. This requirement is being issued by AQD under the franchise authority of the Department of the Interior on behalf of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration - National Weather Service. AQD intends to issue a Purchase Order for Gearbox Seal Kits. This notice is not a formal solicitation. This is not considered a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFP). No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. Any response to this notice must show clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the Purchase Order will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed action on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information related to the potential availability of other sources that can fulfill this requirement must be received by the POC listed below by 2p.m. EDT June 22, 2011, POC: Bobby Brown, Acquisition Services Directorate, 381 Elden Street, Herndon, VA 20170.
