- THIS PROJECT IS AVAILABLE TO SMALL BUSINESSES ONLY. QUARTERS 2 HEAT PUMP, MEDICINE LAKE NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE, (11-038) 1.01 WORK INCLUDEDA. Work includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, and materials necessary to install a ground source heat pump heating and cooling system as shown on drawing 6R-MT-123-11-038 and specified herein. The heat pump, wells, piping, air handler, misc. components, thermostats, sensors, etc., shall be provided as required for a complete and operable system. Work shall include new electrical and ductwork as required.B. The Contractor shall remove the existing LP furnace and the Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor and all piping, wiring and conduit that will not be re-used in the heat pump installation. The Contractor shall dispose of these items in a lawful manner.1. The Contractor shall remove gas piping between the gas furnace and the main propane line and cap or plug the main gas line per applicable code requirements. THIS WORK SHALL BE CONDUCTED IN A SAFE MANNER.2. The Contractor shall remove wire and conduit between the A/C compressor and the breaker panel per applicable code requirements. THIS WORK SHALL BE CONDUCTED IN A SAFE MANNER.C. Any ductwork that is not reused shall be removed.D. Repair any areas damaged by demolition of existing equipment or installation of new equipment using materials and methods to ensure that repairs match existing finishes. 1.02 LOCATION OF SITEThe site of the work is at the Medicine Lake National Wildlife Refuge, 4.3 miles southeast of Medicine Lake, Montana. GENERAL INFORMATION The estimated magnitude of construction is between $30,000.00 and $100,000.00. The total performance period is 45 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. This acquisition is offered as a 100% Small Business Set Aside. The NAICS code is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, and the size standard is $14 Million.
