Description

The Richard L Roudebush VA Medical Center, 1481 W. Tenth Street, Indianapolis, Indiana intends to negotiate with Thorlabs, INC, 435 Route 206, Newton, NJ 07860-6005 to provide a Customized High-Resolution Laser Confocal Microscope System. The proposed action is for supplies/services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one (1) source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). The Government believes that only one (1) responsible source can provide the supplies/services that will satisfy the agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes, but responses received on or before June 23, 2011 will be evaluated. A determination by the Contracting Officer not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is only within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. Information received will be considered solely for purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses must be submitted in writing to the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, Attention: Lisa Frymier, Contract Specialist (90CSC), 1481 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202, email at Lisa.Frymier@va.gov or fax at 317-988-1809. Responses must be received no later than 4:30pm, Thursday, June 23, 2011. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
